online order stays open on my drawer when I try to close it
I do alot of online order business. When I need to count my drawer down at mid-day, my open online orders stay in my expected register totals, even though they're open. Can we adjust this so my reports aren't constantly showing short/over?

invoices that you can print from the full review screen
It would be nice to generate a pdf or jpg of a fancy looking invoice for customers. With all these nice features in this POS and all I can send my customers is a email of a ticket.
How about a 8.5 *11 print with customization of a header and footer?
To be able to email, print this invoice with only one or 2 clicks.

SCREEN TIME OUT
The screen times out and all information that you were working on gets trashed. Should not the screen auto log out when you touch a button or the mouse.
example: if you leave the final deposit screen up for longer than normal at the end of the night the system will allow you to plug in numbers and push the save button. Right after the save button is pushed the screen goes to the auto log out screen. The user thinks that the deposit for the night has been saved and sent however the machine just allow the user to…
1 voteHi Paul,
Thank you for your feedback. The screen time out setting is user defined and can be turned off completely or set for a longer time period. To do this, go to Configuration > Employee > Timeclock and check the “Enable auto log out” setting. Here is more info : https://thrivepos.uservoice.com/knowledgebase/articles/802290-auto-clockout-vs-auto-logoutThanks,

When a driver is dispatched on an order, and it is void, he cannot check back in
This has happened to me multiple times. Is it possible to block the order from becoming void until the driver returns, or perhaps allow the driver to check in on the void order?

Relabeling of the Order Types
When going to finish out at order there are standard type to choose from.
I would like the be able to create new order types or change the existing ones.
We currently use a third party online ordering system, so when an order comes in from them I would like to be able to click on that type of an order when placing the order in the POS system. That way we would be able to track which orders come in from our third party site, rather than physically printing out each ticket.4 votesHi Jeff,
Thank for the suggestion. We do have plans to allow you to change the order type names in the future. However, I’m not sure this will be the best way to track orders from 3rd party systems, as each order type behaves in a special way. For example, deliveries appear on the dispatch screen – and you would want that to happen regardless of what online system it came from. Many sites use a custom tender type to finish orders from various 3rd parties, as we way to track how much each site owes. Maybe that would help? Thanks,

change open screen to pick up instead of coming up as all orders
when going to order screen, it is set open, all types... and should be set as open pick up, as people have been continuously clicking on wrong orders for pick ups and cashing out deliveries on accident. ( could of bought a brand new computer system by the time i figured out how much money i was losing on this accident)
1 voteThanks for your suggestion. We can definitely consider adding some options for default settings on the orders screen in the future!

Create a Waste Option
I would like for my managers to report waste in the system. We currently have to use a paper system. I see there is a report for waste but no way to add to the report.
3 votesHi Erika,
Thanks for the suggestion. Yes, the waste function is a feature we will be adding to the POS !

KPS Configuration (sizes)
The KPS system only allows the abbreviation to be shown for item sizes even though there is plenty of room on the screen. This means, you get 2 letters for your sizes. Why not just allow the display name to show on the screen?
1 voteThank you for your suggestion about the KPS system. We will definitely keep this in mind as we make enhancements in this area!

being able to go back to order screen without it wiped clean
it would be nice to be able to search for certain orders and open the ticket then be able to go back to the previous order screen without loosing your search criteria. As of now it seems that once you search for the day or certain days and place the correct tabs to search for orders and click on an order you cannot simply go back to that list of orders. You have to plug in the search criteria for each one....

Customer pickup order monitor
A monitor viewable to customers that has their order status on it. If the order is not ready, it could give an approximate time, or a countdown of when it will be ready.

Defaulting to "all" instead of indiviudal servers.
It's a huge pain for our staff when we can't see the orders of the whole restaurant, dine-in, pick-up, and delivery on our order screens, as it just defaults to our particular person logged in. All of the time our servers can be answering phones on pick-ups or deliveries, and need to see that information, even if someone else took it. Our managers needs to be able to see the entire order screen, not just the pick-up or deliveries they personally put in. It's a pain to have to take another step and constanstly be scrolling through names to get…
1 voteHi Danny,
I hear you! This feature is controlled by the setting in Config > Employee > Job Type “allow tickets to be assigned as a server”. If checked, it will default to the server name. We added this to Thr!ve after getting complaints from ex-FireFly users that it was not defaulting (as it does in FireFly) but have learned that some people preferred the “All” default. We’ll work on adding in an option. You may also want to try unchecking this on your managers. I think the only limitation there will be that you can’t transfer table orders to them if it is unchecked.

default print times for deferred orders
If we could set up a default print time for deferred orders, it would be most helpful!
1 voteHi! Thanks for your suggestion about deferred orders. We do have the ability to set a default print time for X minutes prior to the desired order time, as well as an additional print time at a specified time the day of the order (such as 8 AM). To learn more about these configuration options, please review this article: https://thrivepos.uservoice.com/knowledgebase/articles/428690-phone-orders-delivery The last section talks about the deferred orders.
Was there anything beyond this that you were looking for?

Default voiding options
Love the defult options for voiding items, however 'ran out of item' and '86' mean the same thing. Instead of 'ran out of item' there should be an option for 'cashier error'...as well as the '86' and 'changed mind'.
1 voteHi! Thanks for your comments on the Void Reasons. These are completely customizable for your individual location. To change them, navigate to Configuration > Security, and about half way down there is an option to “Require void reasons” with a button that lets you set or edit the reasons. For more info see this article. https://thrivepos.uservoice.com/knowledgebase/articles/720465-security-settings-configuration

Take bitcoin or other Altcoins
We are positioned around a lot of techies, and Crypto concurrency is on the rise, companies like Square Payments are now taking bitcoin, and payments are going toward that way in the next few years, maybe set up a QR code scanner to take payments get ahead of the industry. They are trading bitcoin on the Chicago exchange in December!

Thanks for the suggestion. I know the techies around here would love to work on that! We’ll definitely be keeping this in mind.

Ability to go BACK AFTER customer lookup
When you lookup a customer there is no way to go back to the list AFTER you click on the record and the customer data comes up. This makes comparing duplicate records very difficult and very unlikely you could decide which one to merge or delete... ALSO it would be nice to merge from this interaction and not have to run a report. No one has time to do this and doing it one record at a time would make more sense and is more pratical.
1 voteThanks for the suggestion. That sounds like a practical and useful option and I will definitely put it on the wish list.

Hi! Thanks for the suggestion. Setting your business hours in Thr!ve serves to limit when orders can be taken. If you don’t want a limit, I would recommend that you set your hours for a 24 hour day, such as starting at 5:00 AM and ending at 04:59 AM next day.
Thanks

get rid of the placeholders 0.00 for adding driver tips
Love the new simplified way of adding driver tips, but could we have a blank box instead of the 0.00 placeholders because if someone just starts typing for example 5.00, it records 50.00 or 500 or 5000 unless they take the time to put their cursor to the far right. Too much room for error and slows them down to have to put the cursor to the far right.
