An error occurred while saving the comment Darren Fox commentedI would love to see this implemented. Nothing derails a busy night like finding out a production printer has been offline for 5 minutes.

Thanks for the suggestion! We have revamped the error messaging around coupons in 8.1 to be much more specific about what is required to make the coupon work. I’m hoping that will be an improvement over using the description field for this, but look forward to getting your input on how that works for you!
Thanks,

Hi Rod,
Thanks for the suggestion. I would suggst that you use the Printer Ticket configuration options to modify how item messages are formatted – you could use red, bold, indent or another font size to better distinguish them from the modifiers that a customer pays for. To learn more about formatting your tickets, check out this article. https://thrivepos.uservoice.com/knowledgebase/articles/408231-printer-ticket-configurationThanks,

Thanks for the suggestions. We will be refactoring this area in the future and will look to make this easier to navigate.

Thanks!

I really liked the way Firefly did fraction pizzas. I've been unhappy with the Thrive ticket and now I'm nervous about seeing the 7.8 ticket that we will be upgrading to soon. It seems to me that the simple solution would be the following:
If I have a specialty pizza called the Hawaiian that contains canadian bacon and pineapple and the customer doesn't want pineapple on half it should print:
14'' TRAD CRUST
HAWAIIAN
Half
NO Canadian Bacon
The current ticket prints like this:
14'' TRAD CRUST
HAWAIIAN
Over all
(!!No Canadian Bacon!!)
1st Half
Canadian Bacon
To me this seems overly confusing. The simpler, less wordy, the better for a fast paced kitchen.
