Block drivers from adding tip on their phone after customer signs
Please find a way to BLOCK the driver from adding or changing a transaction amount (adding a tip) after the customer has signed on the drive app. The only way a change should be done is through proper management channels on the POS.
26 votesThanks for the suggestion! This sounds like an important security update and definitely is something we’ll consider for a future update of the Dr!ve app!

Real time driver tracking for customer....
When a customer orders online, they should receive a link via email to track the driver, much like Uber. It would be even better if it were built in as part of the mobile app, but I believe a link would be sufficient. Not sure if the current setup has these capabilities, but I've seen companies out there that might be able to integrate with Thrive such as 86 Borders. This is the future of delivery and it will be standard very soon.
17 votesHi! Thanks for the suggestion. This is something we have definitely thought about many times, however concerns about privacy and security of drivers have got us questioning the right balance of information to give customers for tracking. We are planning to add a mobile notification at dispatch for starters. Good to know that someone is interested in this!

Provide Gate Code Field for Address
When having delivery orders with an address that requires a gate code for access, it would be nice if there was an actual field the hold this information, then have this same field transfer into the DR!VE app. This would provide delivery drivers all of the necessary for the specified delivery
7 votesThanks for the suggestion. Most users will use either the “Comment” or a user defined field for the Gate Code. I can see how it would be useful to make sure this data transfers to the Dr!ve app, that is something we can look into for a future enhancement!

Log in without clocking in?
Is it possible to log in without clocking in? There are a few rare occasions where as a manager I'd like to check out upcoming deferred orders or access other manager functions without being on the clock. Thanks!
-Kyle,
Quatro's Pizza3 votesHi!
Since clocking in sets your job type, which tells the POS some key info about how to behave, you must clock in to log on. However, you can set an employee record as “Exempt from payroll” which will not count them as “on the clock” and won’t show them on payroll reports. You may want to create a 2nd log on with this setting for those times you want to log on without clocking in.

Different lead time depending on order type.
We obviously need more lead time for a delivery order than a pickup order. We're forced to set our lead time for deliveries, so what happens quite often when it's busy is the deferred pickup orders get made way too early.
9 votesHi, thanks for the suggestion. That makes a lot of sense, and is something we can consider adding for future development!

I was wondering if we could make an option for orders to say "Paid" instead of "Not Paid" after you coupon an order out?
When you coupon out an order it will say Not Paid beacuse there was no cash tendered, although the order is already taken care of. Is there any way for it to say Paid??
2 votesHi Nick
Thanks for the suggestion. Definitely makes sense that you would want that to say Paid. I’ll put it on the list to review – we have plans to do some revamping of printing in the next few months so this would be good to tackle at that time.

Credit Card Slips
Standard industry now has customer name on the slip when the card is swiped. Ours isn't capturing this. Can this be fixed? Plus can each slip have which terminal it came from please?
18 votesHi,
Thanks for your suggestion about the credit card slips. We will add this to our list for consideration when planning future development!

Credit Card Transaction Fees Deduction for Driver Tips
We would like to be able to deduct the credit card transaction fee from the tip portion of the drivers delivery ticket.
(eg. Lets say a driver recieves a $10 tip on a delivery that is paid by Credit card right now when cashing out the driver recieves the whole $10. The average credit card fees for any transaction is right around 3%. We are looking at recoop the 3% when cashing the drivers out on the tip portion of the transaction not the whole ticket. Most states allow this by retail food establishments, almost all bars and sitdown restaurants…17 votesHi Dimitry,

Retain Credit Card data on reopened orders
When you reopen a closed order that was paid by credit card to revise it, it would be helpful to retain the credit card information so you can close it to the same card again.

Promise Times on Order Screen
We were hoping we could add a promise time line on the order screen. We do a lot of timed orders for pick ups and there is currently no way to tell timed pick ups from normal pick ups. On the dispatch screen you can just look at the delivery promise time to tell the timed deliveries from the normal ones. We wanted to have the same feature on the order screen. Thanks

Thrive Online/App customer experience
The online ordering needs an overhaul. We get complaints from customers all the time about the site freezing on them. It doesn't run as smoothly as it should.
The popup at the beginning asking the order type can be annoying.
Checking out requires too many clicks. Should have their default info already pre-checked and only require customer to check when they are making changes.
Make it easier for the customer to reorder previous orders. Most don't even know our site has that ability because it's hard to find. Check out chipotle's app how they have previous orders right in the…
24 votesHi,
Thank you for your feedback. We are always working on improving the online experience and your suggestions are valuable.Just to comment on a few of your specifics. Because order type can affect the availability of coupons and the tax rates, its pretty important to know it up front – we’ve felt that it creates more customer confusion if prices change or coupons are unavailable at the end of the order when a type is selected.
We are currently working on some changes to make the schedule option more prominent, so you should see that soon.
We can definitely look into making the Reorder option more prominent, and we do plan to improve the log on experience of the mobile app. As far as having the app function without internet — there are a number of real time updates that can occur between a restaurant and the app –…

"Do Not Make" print on online deferred tickets
If not looking closely during rush these tickets get taken to the food prep area and then get made or the ticket assembly person is looking for these products to come out of the oven. It causes confusion if a re-make is called.
1 voteHi Russell,
Thank you for your suggestion. We have a few options available to help avoid any confusion in the kitchen when a deferred ticket printsFirst, I assume you are talking about the “additional print time” setting which prints the order prior to it going live and being ready for prep. You can turn this off, or have it print only in the morning of the day of the order, or have these preview prints go to a different printer entirely. (These settings are in Configuration > Order types > Delivery)
Also, you have some control over what prints on these tickets. For example, you could go to Printer Ticket configuration and turn on the “Deferred Print Time” field, this has a customizable lable so maybe make it say “DO NOT MAKE UNTIL”
Hopefully these will help clear up the confusion, please don’t hesitate to contact support if…

You can't tender a delivery order in store with cash
If a customer comes in the store and pays for a delivery order with cash, the system treats it as an expected payment rather than a tender. We have to write that it is paid for on the driver's ticket, otherwise there is no way for the driver to know it is paid for. We also have to make a drop since it charges the driver for it as well.
9 votesThanks for the comment, this is something we will put on the wish list for the future!

Re-visit "Fractions"
Please re-visit the way "all over" and "fractions" are displayed on the screen and especially the kitchen ticket. I just got the latest update and it seems like you took a complicated kitchen tag and MADE IT MORE COMPLICATED! Now there are 3 sections on the tag instead of the already complicated looking 2 sections. ESPECIALLY when the are multiple pizzas on the ticket. They all blend in togather.
21 votesHi Gary,
Thanks for your feedback. We will be undertaking a major revamp of our printing functions soon and will definitely be open to looking at ways to improve this area. If you have any specific suggestions of what options you would like to see please let us know. Thanks!

Orders / For Servers / Drop Down
When going to orders, for servers, drop down list, it lists every employee in the system including non servers and employees who are not even clocked in.
This should just be "Servers" or anyone able to take orders. Waste of time to filter through every employee just to find a server espically when you have several non server job departments.1 voteHi!
Thanks for the suggestion. It definitely seems that we could be smarter about limiting this list to servers who may possibly have orders during the time frame you are searching. I’ll put it on the wish list for future development.
Thanks!

DAY OF THE WEEK
It would be very helpful if the day of the week was printed along with the date of deffered orders. Each cook doesn't have a calendar with the dates in front of them and it becomes more likely that food can be made on the wrong day.
3 votesHi! Thanks for the suggestion. We will definitely keep it in mind when we enhance the printing options in the system.

New order screen default in 7.8.4.
Please allow us the option to toggle this functionality. Original PJ's would like to allow servers to view all tickets and have it default to "ALL" like in previous versions.

Add an option for a donated gift card.
I have heard this request from Famulari's and Tarantino's now. They are not happy with having to do a separate paid out for a gift card when donated for marketing purposes and would like an option for reconciling the donated gift card to show along with daily summary.
9 votesThanks for the suggestion. This is definiltely something we’ve had requests for in the past and is something we can consider for future development.
Thanks!

Orders screen notation of deferred orders when live.
When a deferred order goes live, there needs to be a notation that an order is a deferred order, and the time it is deferred for on the orders screen. There is no way of knowing as of now.
Also, a deferred order notation on the dispatch screen would be helpful as well. It does change the promise time which sorts deliveries in the proper order, but if the times are close, we need to know which orders are deferred so we can make them a priority.
1 voteThanks for the suggestion on deferred orders! We will add it to our future wish list.
