Fix the system so it doesn't allocate all credit card tips to whoever is signed on to the register
In Oregon, when pooling tips, it is now illegal to allow any management (regardless of the level) to participate in the tip pool. Thrive allocates all credit card tips to whoever is logged onto the system when taking the order (our customers order at a counter and we bring food out, we do not have individual table service). Our Person In Charge (PIC) is not eligible to accept tips, however, it is showing that they got tips through Thrive. We total credit card and cash tips at the end of each shift, then they are split in cash to all servers. If Oregon audits us, it will show that our PICs took part in the pool when they in fact did not. In addition, the tip amounts we have been providing our payroll processor have likely been incorrect. If one of our employees worked the register the entire Friday night because it was busy, ALL credit card tips would be allocated to that person, even though they were split out evenly, at the end of the shift, to all employees working at the time. This is a very critical, and potentially legal, issue for us.
