At the end of everyday, sending the credit card batch can be a painstaking task when having to count all of the receipts and making sure the POS has the same amount. Especially after a shift where there can be over 50 slips to confirm, trying to count all of the entries on the screen can be difficult and mistakes can easily be made. My suggestion is to input the grid into a "numbered grid" so just by looking at the screen, you just look at the last credit card ticket # at the bottom of the report and there will be a number that shows how many tickets there should be. Any restaurant that accepts credit cards will benefit from this easy and simple design change and will help expedite counting the cash draw at the end of every shift.
