  1. Customer calls and reorder previous order, there should be options to deffer or give coupon discounts. the software doesnt have that feature

    Reorder option doesnt allow you to deffer or offer coupons. When cutomer reorder fram previous, the gear (option) icon doesnt show up to be able to give coupn offer or deffer order. Please check into making that a possible option.

    Hi! Thanks for your suggestion. We’ll check into why the “Options” icon is not always appearing for you as it should. In the meantime as a workaround if you click on another icon at the top of the screen like the Help or Dispatch, and then back to the Menu icon, it should refresh and show the Options icon.

  2. fix reprint issues when someone adds to an existing order.

    make it so when a customers calls back to add to an order that it prints that item to the kitchen with the words revised on top, and at the same time the reciept ticket reprints with the new item on it and also says revised on the top of the ticket just like vital link does.... so that everyone knows there is a new ticket and we can look for all the correct items and not forget things like is happening now.

    Thanks for the suggestion. The POS system has the option to print “REVISED” at the top of a ticket when it is modified. I’ll forward this to our support team to see if they can review your settings and find out more about what is going on at your site.

    Hi! Thanks for the suggestion. Setting your business hours in Thr!ve serves to limit when orders can be taken. If you don’t want a limit, I would recommend that you set your hours for a 24 hour day, such as starting at 5:00 AM and ending at 04:59 AM next day.

  4. I suggest that you give us the option when building a coupon to have Thr!ve charge for any non-included toppings.

    We have an offer that's 2 10 inch specialty pizzas for $25. But those pizzas range in price from $12.99 - $19.99! So if we do fixed price for each of $12.50 with max discount of $7.49 (to cover a $19.99 pizza) then if they order that $12.99 pizza, they can order $7 worth of toppings before getting charged! ... if only we could just tell it to charge for non-included toppings.

  5. move dropdown box for half and half below sizes

    When trying to order online if you have the dropdown box activated to do 1/2 and 1/2 if makes you select a size first only on the desktop version, on my phone its no prob and works fine?

  7. I would like to be able to have credit card slips printed to designated printers for different order types.

    I would like to be able to print credit card slips for deliveries to a designated printer in my kitchen where we stage our product for deliveries and print credit card slips to my receipt printer in front for pick-ups.

    Hi! Thanks for the suggestion. We do have a feature that enables you to print delivery credit slips “At Dispatch” which would be on the designated dispatch printer. You can choose to print these in addition to at time of order or both. This is what most restaurants do to handle the need of having a credit slip ready to go out with the driver. You’ll find this option in configuration > tax tender cash > credit. Hopefully that will help with your workflow?

  8. Reordering in thrive online

    Most of our customers are repead customers and like to order same specials most of the times when they use repead order coupon does not apply to the order please make it possible for coupon to apply at repead order if it is still valid coupon.

    I expect this might be a controversial ask — many restaurant owners would want the customer to specifically select the coupon every time they order, unless the coupon is set up to automatically apply to a qualifying order.

  9. ONLINE NOTES INDECERNABLE ON TICKETS- "ADD SHRIMP"$

    If an someone is creative they can add notes ONLINE that look like a charged item and NOT PAY FOR IT. We have to police all online orders for Notes that will be an up charge. I suggest a "N:" to desigiantes that is a note and not a field from their selection that is paid for

    Thanks for the suggestion. I would suggst that you use the Printer Ticket configuration options to modify how item messages are formatted – you could use red, bold, indent or another font size to better distinguish them from the modifiers that a customer pays for.   10. Bring back coupon descriptions!

    Can you please bring back coupon descriptions in Thrive 8.1? This was such a useful feature of Firefly. A long click on a coupon would give all of the details and requirements so the employee would know how to properly apply the coupon, what requirements there were, is it valid with other offers, etc. We currently have a wiki page where we put all of the discount details but it would be so nice to not have to leave Thrive and switch to another program just for something like this.

    Thanks for the suggestion! We have revamped the error messaging around coupons in 8.1 to be much more specific about what is required to make the coupon work. I’m hoping that will be an improvement over using the description field for this, but look forward to getting your input on how that works for you!

  11. Log in without clocking in?

    Is it possible to log in without clocking in? There are a few rare occasions where as a manager I'd like to check out upcoming deferred orders or access other manager functions without being on the clock. Thanks!

    Hi!
    Since clocking in sets your job type, which tells the POS some key info about how to behave, you must clock in to log on. However, you can set an employee record as “Exempt from payroll” which will not count them as “on the clock” and won’t show them on payroll reports. You may want to create a 2nd log on with this setting for those times you want to log on without clocking in.

  12. Secure ability to cancel a drawer close. An over message could allow closing user to remove the extra cash and redo the closing.

    Just that. Don't want the ability to have the closing user remove cash if there is an overage for whatever reason it may be. Same for shortage. Would request that if the security setting doesn't allow the user to cancel the close drawer, they shouldn't be informed of "overage" or "shortage" so they don't have any inkling of the current state of the drawer.

  13. Micros Can, Sure wish we could Set specific order types to specific job types

    Would love an option to make specific order types only valid to specific job types. Example: Servers can only close tickets via "settle" even if closing at a register station blocking them from closing the order to the till.

    Thanks for your suggestion. We do have the ability to block “table” orders from closing to the register (Config > Order Types > Table) — which would require orders of this type to be “settled” instead. Would this help you out?

  14. Take bitcoin or other Altcoins

    We are positioned around a lot of techies, and Crypto concurrency is on the rise, companies like Square Payments are now taking bitcoin, and payments are going toward that way in the next few years, maybe set up a QR code scanner to take payments get ahead of the industry. They are trading bitcoin on the Chicago exchange in December!

  15. The delivery notes and cross streets do NOT show up on the delivery tag

    The notes to find an address (ie: back house, just past the 2 palm trees, always use the side door) and the cross streets do NOT show up on the delivery tag.

  16. Security Group Option For Paying for and Closing Out Orders

    The ability for any Employee to open the till when "paying" for an order is a huge security vulnerability. Please add a security option to only allow certain security groups to actually make a payment on an order.

    Thanks for the suggestion. We can definitely look into adding more security settings in the future around closing orders.

    If you are concerned about register security, you may want to consider using the “Assign register” feature, this will prevent anyone from closing an order who is not assigned to the register. https://thrivepos.uservoice.com/knowledgebase/articles/817698-assign-cash-assign-a-register-drawer

    If you don’t want to have to assign people each day, another option would be to give people you want to have access to the register the “Override register assignment” security level, and set each drawer to “require assignment” (set in Config > Station device). This way no one who does not have the “override” level will be able to close a ticket to that drawer.

  17. DAY OF THE WEEK

    It would be very helpful if the day of the week was printed along with the date of deffered orders. Each cook doesn't have a calendar with the dates in front of them and it becomes more likely that food can be made on the wrong day.

  18. Print option on order screen or pay screen

    We would like the option to print a ticket after a coupon is applied or on the pay screen. We attach coupons to the appropriate ticket. When the order automatically closes they have to go back in and search for the order to attach the coupon to a ticket.

    Thanks for the suggestion. The “reprint” button at the bottom of the virtual ticket or the orders screen will allow you to print a ticket at any time. Can you use this button before pressing Finish to get the ticket printed?

  19. on the adjust order tips pop up box add quick buttons for servers to enter in tips.

    We enter 100-150 tickets at the end of the night and it would make it a lot faster to have quick buttons with $1,$2,$3,$4,$5. Also would be less mistakes by hitting 1 button if there is no change rather than hit 3 guest leaves 5 dollars hit the $5 button instead of 5, 0, 0

    Thanks for the suggestion. We are planning some changes to the server close process to make tip entry more efficient (all in line rather than one at a time). I like the idea of the quick keys as well. On the current adjust tips screen, you should be able to enter 5 without the .00 and still get $5.00 – at least on the latest version it’s doing that for me!

  20. invoices that you can print from the full review screen

    It would be nice to generate a pdf or jpg of a fancy looking invoice for customers. With all these nice features in this POS and all I can send my customers is a email of a ticket.

    How about a 8.5 *11 print with customization of a header and footer?

    To be able to email, print this invoice with only one or 2 clicks.
